Okay I know the deal on the skill and have read what I can find on the ability. But is there a max damage on this thing ? From what I'm seeing and I realize armor is taken into account with this skill, it will max out at 100 damage. Also has anyone tested to see if there is a cap on the percentage of damage reduction we receive or the % of damage that we do as well ? I can not find anything on Wikki that says one way or the other, unless of course in that maze I've failed to hit a certain area.

Mostly, with this skill, only armor and your lightbringer rank are taken into account. 100 is the base dmg for the skill, -armor dmg reduction, +5% for each of your lightbringer ranks. Hope that helps, cheers.

Yeah I'm a rank 6 myself atm, but I was wondering if there was any hidden caps on the plus 5 % or damage reduction. Any lvl 8's out there that have tested any of this or do we actually get a HUGE 40% at lvl 8 ? Myself I honestly can't believe Anet would let a skill get that high.

It does get huge at rank 8. However, it's only in PvE, and only against monsters that are ALREADY level 28 (Torment Demons and Margonites). So, yeah, it makes killing them easier, but it by no means seals the deal.

You do get the full +40% damage to everything at R8. Lightbringer's Gaze is ridiculous at that level.

Yes, it will hit SOME things for over 100 damage, because although it says it deals holy damage, it does NOT ignore armor. So you probably wont hit, say, Margonite warriors for over 100, but you'll easily hit over 120 on the necros and eles at R8.

Well it is enough boring to get lightbringer titles, then a high damage skill would be a nice present :P

It was fun on one char. A chore on the next. Not fun at all on the next 5 chars.
